Wow, this piece only took me MONTHS to finish! I actually started working on it sometime last year, and I ended up finishing it just two weeks ago. I entered the piece into the Annual Juried Student Show, and she managed to get in! I apologize for the bad photo of it, I had to take it while the piece was hanging in the lobby, cause I'm awesome and I forgot to snap a shot of it before I put it into the frame.

Anyway, this is my character, Miya, Yukio's mother. I referenced ~YUMEPOP's photo, here: [link]

Done entirely in graphite ranging from 2H to 8B.

oooh nice job on the shading. I love her expression, and how her face is lit. I like how you rendered her nose and lips.

The umbrella handle is crooked, and the shading isn't quite consistent on the umbrella, but it's not noticeable. :]

This looks really awesome, the only thing I can see wrong is on the fan, which still looks great, the handle just drops down too much like it's crooked (I'm not sure if it was intentional or not), It still looks awesome though.
