Zero Inspiration. . .

Wow, again, I've taken leave of this site. . . After just about anything and everything went wrong, I just have found little inspiration for my artwork, and thus this site. I've been busier than I ever thought it could be possible with only having one full time job, and I'm getting ready to start substitute teaching, which means even less time for me to get on here to try and muck through the loads of deviations and comments and journals that everyone has posted.

Though, in more positive news, I have started a new regime of drawing with a friend of mine who wants to learn how to draw. Hopefully some of my sketches from this new program will make it up here, and I'll actually be able to post some of the artwork that I have yet to finish on here! I have plenty of half-finished work that I just need to get scanned in and colored to put together, and perhaps I'll finally gain enough resolve to show my face on this site again. . .

We shall see! :)

Cripes, it's been a while. . .

Yeah, I really haven't been very active on here at all in the recent months (We're nearing a year of it, goodness!). . . Though I guess I have had some good reasoning! I am no a college graduate, and I'm trying to find a job in the animation industry, which is not proving easy. I've also lacked the inspiration to come onto DA and go through the now 2k deviations that I have let pile up. . .

As for not having any artwork updated recently, it's basically because I don't have a tablet at my disposal anymore, and it's hard for me to keep up with it when I don't have that. I don't like coloring with a mouse, it makes me angry, haha!

I am going to try to get on here more often, but most likely I'll be deleting all of the deviations that I've let build up, so if you want me commenting on anything in particular, let me know, and I'll give you my critique. We'll see about me becoming more active on this account! :D

Yay for Obama.

I guess I have to give my congrats to Obama for winning the presidential election, but unlike most people, I'm going to give McCain his props, too. He made a great concession speech, and he did it very quickly, too. I was surprised that when I turned on the T.V. last night (I stayed away from it for a while, I really don't understand how you can stare at the screen for hours when you can turn it on AFTER all of the polls are closed), that it was already all over. So, can I just ask all of you who are completely bashing McCain to please leave him be? He lost, do you really have to rub his nose in it? I'm really sick of people becoming nearly rabid when they talk about him. It's annoying, really. He's a person too, believe it or not!

My prayers go towards Obama now, though, and hopefully he'll meet everyone's expectations of being a fabulous president. He's got a LOT of work ahead of him.

I'm still a bit sad because McCain said his speech even before Nevada's vote was in, so really, in terms of the presidential election, my vote didn't even really count (not like it would have anyway, that's what I get for voting third party). I can't help but feel a little gypped at this point, haha!

All I can say is hopefully the candidate *I* would like to see run for president will actually get a shot in 2012. We'll just have to see.

Alright, usually I could care less about how the election is going, and trust me, I'm not a fan of either McCain or Obama, but sometimes I really get ticked off at how the media will personify the candidates. I occasionally read through polls on what other voters are thinking about the election, and the most recent one was talking about how 18% of voters are truly unsure about who to vote for, because they don't think either candidate could really fix what needs to be fixed. I was fine with the article until it hit this point:

"Among these uncommitted voters, McCain leads on Iraq, terrorism, taxes, corruption, immigration and gun rights, while Obama has an edge on health care, gay marriage, the environment, stem-cell research, racial equality and education."

What a load of crap that is. I really hate the liberal media, because God knows if you in any way support the more conservative choice, people get all pissy and righteous about it. I mean, seriously, isn't the NEWS supposed to be objective? This is the thing that really just pisses me off. I really hope people aren't just swayed by what the media says, because then we might really be screwed, either way. As I said, I don't support either major candidate, but the rude wording in some of these articles just made me have to rant a bit about this.
